SLW Frameless Fixed Glazing Panel
SLW Frameless Fixed Glazing Panel
The Blomberg SLW is a "frameless" fixed glazing solution that uses a near-invisible aluminum perimeter channel to produce a flush-face, all-glass appearance in high-design residential, commercial lobby, and retail storefront applications. Structural silicone glazing on the exterior perimeter conceals the aluminum frame behind the glass edge — what remains is pure glass, from floor to ceiling, corner to corner.
Fabricated from 6063-T5 aluminum with a Class 1 anodize finish or custom RAL powder coat, the SLW panel accepts dual- or triple-pane Low-E IGU to achieve U-factors from 0.16 to 0.24 (NFRC). The daylight opening is maximized by eliminating visible mullion profiles between adjacent panels, creating a continuous glass plane that transforms lobbies into light-filled galleries, storefronts into transparent showcases, and residential facades into frameless panoramas.
When the frame disappears, the architecture speaks for itself.
Studio View — SLW Panel with Minimal Perimeter Channel and Silicone Bead
The SLW panel on a white background, showing the near-invisible aluminum perimeter channel and the structural silicone bead along one edge. The all-glass appearance is achieved by recessing the aluminum frame behind the glass edge — the silicone bead is the only visible element at the perimeter.
Installed Performance — Beverly Hills Luxury Tower Lobby
SLW panels forming a seamless floor-to-ceiling glass wall in the marble-clad lobby of a Beverly Hills luxury mixed-use tower. The aluminum frame is completely hidden — the glass wall reads as a single continuous plane behind the sculptural reception desk, with curated art lighting and polished concrete floors completing the composition.
Structural Silicone Joint Detail — Zero-Mullion Glass-to-Glass Butt Condition
The structural silicone glazing joint at the corner of two adjacent SLW panels, illustrating the zero-mullion glass-to-glass butt condition. The silicone bead width is the only interruption in the continuous glass plane — no aluminum, no cap, no visible frame between panels.
