Low-E Triple-Pane IGU — Argon-Filled Insulated Glass Unit

This factory-fabricated triple-pane insulated glass unit (IGU) is engineered specifically for Blomberg T450N and T600N thermally-broken window-wall systems, combining two high-performance Low-E coatings (Solarban 70XL or equivalent) on surfaces #2 and #5 with argon-filled air spaces to deliver a center-of-glass U-factor of 0.10 and a whole-unit NFRC U-factor of 0.16 in the Blomberg frame — the best thermal performance available in any aluminum fenestration system.

The unit uses a warm-edge spacer bar for reduced condensation at the sightline, achieves an STC rating of 37 and OITC of 31 for meaningful acoustic attenuation in urban and high-exposure environments, and is available in custom dimensions up to 96" × 144" to accommodate large-format architectural glazing in high-rise, institutional, and luxury residential applications.

In a Passive House-certified Seattle residence on a cold rainy morning, the interior glass surface stays dry, warm, and condensation-free — because the physics of three panes and two argon fills simply don't allow otherwise.

Studio View — Isometric Exploded Cross-Section with Low-E Coating Labels

Isometric exploded cross-section of the triple-pane IGU, clearly labeling the two Low-E coating positions on surfaces #2 and #5, the argon gas fill spaces, the warm-edge spacer bars, and the overall stack thickness. The engineering that delivers U-0.10 center-of-glass performance, made visible.

Installed Performance — Passive House Seattle Residence, Cold Rainy Morning

Triple-pane IGU installed in T450N window-wall in Passive House certified Seattle residential project showing condensation-free glass on cold rainy morning with warm reading nook interior

The triple-pane IGU installed in a T450N window-wall in a Passive House-certified Seattle residence. Outside: cold, grey, and raining. Inside: the glass is dry, the reading nook is warm, and the condensation that would form on a double-pane unit simply doesn't exist. This is what U-0.16 whole-unit performance feels like from the inside.

Warm-Edge Spacer Bar Detail — Dual-Seal and Argon Fill Port

Close-up of warm-edge spacer bar at glass edge of triple-pane IGU showing dual-seal primary and secondary sealant lines and argon gas fill port

The warm-edge spacer bar at the glass edge, magnified to show the dual-seal system: primary butyl sealant line and secondary structural sealant line, with the argon gas fill port visible on the spacer body. The warm-edge spacer reduces the thermal bridge at the glass edge, minimizing condensation at the sightline and improving whole-unit U-factor performance.
