T600N Awning Window Unit — Extreme Weather Rated

The T600N Awning is a top-hinged outswing unit built on the structural-fin T600N platform — inheriting the system's extreme Design Pressure (DP) rating and AAMA 501-compliant water and air performance. It is the specification-grade choice for high-exposure coastal, high-rise, and commercial applications where operable ventilation is required within a curtain-wall assembly without compromising the facade's structural or weather performance.

The unit features the T600N's 5/8" sightline, polyamide thermal break struts, concealed 220 lb European-style hinges, and a triple-glazed Low-E IGU with argon fill achieving a NFRC U-factor of 0.16 — the best thermal performance in any aluminum operable unit. A motorized operator option enables installation at out-of-reach heights in curtain-wall assemblies, with BMS integration for automated ventilation control. The 6063-T5 frame is available in Class 1 anodize or AAMA 2605-compliant fluoropolymer coating in any RAL color.

On a Chicago lakeshore high-rise in a November rainstorm, the T600N Awning sheds water away from the curtain-wall and keeps ventilating — because extreme weather is not a reason to close the window.

T600N Awning units open on the upper-floor facade of a Chicago lakeshore high-rise during a heavy rainstorm. The top-hinged geometry sheds water away from the curtain-wall while maintaining ventilation — AAMA 501-compliant performance in the conditions that matter most.
